Habibi Omar at the Sharjah Biennial.

It wasn’t in my plan to take Omar to the opening day of the Sharjah Biennial.   After 2 days of March Meetings, my little boy was seriously missing me, so I decided to bring him along.  Since we are usually together 24/7, he wasn’t happy that I was away working everyday.

He really likes contemporary art with all the video installations, colors, and unique shapes and objects, it never leaves him wanting for stimulation.

He was really happy about the Slavs and Tatars balloon a nice lady gave him when we arrived. Especially nice since we couldn’t find them, and he was on the verge of a meltdown about NOT having one. The balloon, Omar, and art are the stars of this post.

Lots of space to run, loud noises, and a soda rush from lunch.

Over there!

Fascinating.

Mirror madness.

Checking out Imran Qureshi.

Action Laps for Palestine.

Hmmmmm

After alot of walking, we took a shopping break and checked out some of the markets. Of course Omar made new friends.

Nice spots for resting.

And the balloon?

Au revior.
